"What is Tantra, and can it help me?"

Marathons, Multi-orgasmic Men, Ancient Eastern Sex Secrets, Sting and Trudie... at some point every sex educator will be asked the question "What is Tantra?" Tantra is a sacred tradition that is alive and well in the West and sits at the heart of Hinduism and other Eastern religions. As the ideas and practices of Tantra have migrated Westward, it has been filtered through the attitudes, preoccupations, and spiritual biases of the Western mind, spawning divergent streams of thought that have gained a good deal of cultural traction.

In this interactive class, you will be introduced to Tantric Hatha Yoga and meditation, gain awareness of the therapeutic potential of the sacred sexuality movement, understand the development of neo-Tantra, and come away with an overview of the basic philosophies and practices of Hindu Tantra.

This program meets the requirements for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 6 CE credits.
